Dear Members of ‘A Way Out’,
You gave me the loving experience of a lifetime at a point in my life where I didn’t feel I deserved to live. I was in such a terrible rut in my life: drinking, isolating and floundering in pain.
Now I know that A Way Out and the other resources you helped me get are available to encourage me and that I am not alone. I learned through your alumni program that there are others who have been in the same boat and made it out. Some get better, but others don’t. I intend to make it.
I started drinking late in life and I don’t want to go down with this struggle.
This addiction thing is a terrible, terrible disease. Thank you for the multifaceted help and for your ongoing support to make sure I stay out of the grip of addiction.
